The CCRESA and NC Central University have teamed together to support future school administrators with the Central Carolina Principal Preparation Program (CCP3)!

Teacher leaders from each CCRESA member district will be given the opportunity to earn their Masters of School Administration from NCCU, be on track for a school leadership position, and receive executive coaching and relevant PD for the first two years as an administrator in a high need school. All of this will be free of charge through a forgivable loan and made possible through the NC Principal Fellows Program.

CCP3 in Action

Current CCP3 Principal Fellows Experiences

The leadership team at CCP3 strives to support and inspire every participant that comes through the program. NC Principal Fellow Class 29 shares their experiences with CCP3 thus far. These aspiring leaders offer insights and reflect on the impact of the program on their professional and personal growth.

Executive Coaching

One of the standout features of CCP3 is our comprehensive postgraduate support system. During your initial two years as a school administrator, CCP3 provides the invaluable resource of a dedicated executive coach. These dedicated coaches are readily available for one-on-one support, assisting you in navigating any challenges that may arise during your journey.

Diversity

By joining CCP3, educators gain the tools and support needed to develop cultural awareness in schools and classrooms. Our program empowers educators to embrace and celebrate diversity, fostering a more equitable learning environment that aligns with these essential principles. CCP3 is a program dedicated to nurturing these crucial values in education.

Equitable Practices

CCP3 prioritizes equity, beginning with classroom practices and extending to your role as an administrator. Our program fosters candid discussions within cohorts, enhancing professional development sessions, and promoting academic growth.

Learning Walks

As a part of the Lead and Learn Program, CCP3 administrators engage in on-site, school-based discussions, addressing and resolving challenges while benefiting from the guidance of experienced administrators and their CCP3 peers. CCP3 facilitators offer invaluable hands-on support, ensuring Principal Fellows gain firsthand insights into effective problem-solving and leadership.

Law Classes at NCCU

Understanding the law as an administrator is paramount for maintaining a safe and equitable learning environment. CCP3 equips principal fellows with the knowledge of legal expectations, educating participants on best practices involved in integrating legal awareness into teaching strategies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a respectful and lawful classroom atmosphere.
